Posting rules & acceptable adverts.
- No puppy/Kitten maybe rehomed before the age of 8 weeks, neither must they be offered for sale by a petshop if they are under this age.
- All pet shop sellers must include with each animal sale, written information detailing the animals five basic needs (as defined by the Animal Welfare Act)
- All sellers of 3 or more litters in a 12 month period will be required to submit a local authority license to Petwise by email, all pet shop traders will also be required to submit their pet shop license.
- Any licensed seller who advertises an animal, must include their local authority license number in the listing.
- Any listing of puppies or kittens must include a picture of the birth parent, who must be available to view at point of purchase.
- Dogs should only have puppies once the mother is over 12 months old, only breed once a year and no more than 6 times in her lifetime
- Please do not offer to ship live animals.
- Pets and livestock that require licences for ownership & transport must be declared in the ad (without these, the listing may be removed).
- We here at Petwise do not like any kind of animal farm, if you see something that you are suspicious of and think may be breaking the law, please contact us, we will take your information seriously and treat your complaint as anonymous.
